Training

The Junior League offers its members extensive training in areas such as leadership and organizational development, community needs assessment, strategic planning, communication, advocacy and fundraising. An integral part of this training is the JLMC's model of developing new community projects every three to five years, both to respond to emerging community needs as well as to develop the skills of our volunteers as they go through the process of collaborating with new community partners, managing volunteer resources, fundraising to support our community programs and ultimately ensuring the sustainability of our programs by turning them over to our community partners.

In May 2008, the JLMC turned over its Superstars Literacy program to Red Bank Primary School and the Red Bank Board of Education has committed to continue the program as a result of its impact on children's literacy and comprehension skills. The JLMC is now launching a new community focus, Empowering Women, providing a  life skills training program for women in need in Monmouth County.
