This year the JLMC and the Committee Responsible for Empowering Women (CREW) will organize or participate in a number of different Done-In-A-Day volunteer opportunities. Among this years' efforts are:
“Me and Momma Rock” musical workshop - Friday September 11th at Linkages in Tinton Falls from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
This year will mark the first time the nation observes 9/11 as a national day of service and remembrance. The JLMC will participate in this historic day by providing the mothers and children of Linkages with a “Me and Momma Rock” musical workshop Friday September 11th at Linkages in Tinton Falls from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Rooted in the principals of our successful “Nurturing Parenting” Facilitator training last October, JLMC volunteers will provide the clients and over 20 children of Linkages with a musical morning featuring Miss. Sherri of Honeychild Music in Red Bank. Following the 50 minute music class, Moms and children will have a chance to make their own rhythm instruments to take home and enjoy.
