New Member Meetings and Training

New Member Training

New JLMC members take part in training courses conducted within New Member monthly meetings before being activated as full members in June of the following year.

The goal of this New Member training is to prepare volunteers for Active Membership in the Junior League of Monmouth County. New members will explore the variety of opportunities and benefits the JLMC offers its members.

New Active members will:

  • Learn the JLMC’s mission, vision, and organizational structure by seeing the board, councils and committees in action.
  • Participate in the JLMC’s Community Projects and how they support the Monmouth County area.
  • Develop a community service project and support the JLMC’s fundraising activities.

Through participation, New Members will learn project planning, implementation, and fully-engage in a hands-on volunteer experience.

New members will also experience the benefits of JLMC membership:

  • Personal Rewards through Community Service
  • Lasting Friendships
  • Training Opportunities
  • Leadership Opportunities
