Advocacy

The Junior League of Monmouth County is committed to facilitating the empowerment of young girls to become confident women. We will conduct ongoing research within our community as to what the needs are within this vision through meeting with local leaders, nonprofit organizations and attending conferences and trainings. The JLMC will advocate for the needs of young girls through identifying strong programs, workshops and trainings to address all areas of building self-esteem, self-confidence and self-worth.

The JLMC invests in helping other nonprofits serving young girls
to access the training they need to better serve their clients.

We secure renowned experts across the country to come to Monmouth County and train community staff members and volunteers. The JLMC offers these trainings to community partners free of charge. In the past, we have presented experts on parenting and general life skills. This year, we will host experts on public speaking, mentoring and learning how to coach young girls to become confident women.

The JLMC is also a member of the Junior Leagues of New Jersey State and Public Affairs Committee (SPAC). SPAC is a statewide, non-partisan committee made of delegates from the eight Junior Leagues of New Jersey. We advocate on behalf of women and children in the state in the areas of health, education and the environment.
